Buy the bookSprouting and Blood Oranges - march 8, 2013

I love Nigel Slater's Tender I & II, along with both of his Kitchen Diaries. Beautiful photos, beautiful prose, good ideas and great garden tips - all tied in to the seasons. His "sprouting" is a pretty purple broccoli type that does well in his garden, I'm still working on it in mine. The blood oranges in this case are used in a sort of creme fraiche hollandaise. For now I'll use the chinese broccoli I picked up at the farmers market this past weekend and serve it with grilled ciabatta and an egg for whoever wants one.
