Part memoir, part beautifully photographed travelogue, this cookbook celebrates Poland's rural charm and fresh, simple cuisine. I, too, once spent a summer in Poland and came home longing for more of the fruit filled, sugar dusted cakes I ate daily there, served up on pretty porcelain plates by local babcias (grandmothers).

Now I can bake them at home myself and share stories of my own adventures in Poland, adding more historical and cultural information gleaned from this book than I learned while traveling there.
