Soup and Grilled Steak - june 9, 2013
Unfortunately the basil I just planted in my garden last week isn't ready for harvest, so I'll have to pick that up at the store, along with some steak, since I don't have a side of beef aging patiently in a gigantic freezer downstairs.
But this will make good use of the summer squash that came in our Eatwell Farm CSA box last week and help eat up the arugula that has been growing like a weed for the past two months. I'll get a baguette and some goat cheese to float on top of the soup.
The recipe is from the San Francisco Chronicle. The steak and salad recipe is also from today's Chronicle, but I can't find a link. It is called a Florentine-style Rib-eye, rubbed with garlic and salt, and the same old lemon and olive oil arugula salad we usually eat around here.
