Lisa Leake's Grilled Teriyaki Salmon
february 2, 2015
Lisa Leake's book 100 Days of Real Food does a wonderful job of laying out most of the reasons why I choose to cook the way I do. Delicious food made with real ingredients instead of heavily processed or artificial ones is just better, and she tells us why.
When I first started perusing her recipes I feared they would be too much like mine: roasted chicken, pastas, risotto, salad dressings. The last thing I need is someone inventing the same recipes as me. In this case, grilled salmon with an Asian sauce sounded especially suspect. But, luckily, my salmon and her salmon are *totally* different.
Which, of course, lead to family disturbances. My husband likes this one better. My kids and I like my recipe more. Now my husband fears he will never get to eat this one again. The truth of the matter is, he probably won't. Unless he makes it himself.
On p. 272 of 100 Days of Real Food, this makes a nice dinner with Asian Inspired Rice and lettuce tossed with Mustard Vinaigrette.
